In the framework of block Compressed Sensing (CS), the reconstruction algorithm based on the Smoothed Projected Landweber\n(SPL) iteration can achieve the better rate-distortion performance with a low computational complexity, especially for using the\nPrinciple Components Analysis (PCA) to perform the adaptive hard-thresholding shrinkage. However, during learning the PCA\nmatrix, it affects the reconstruction performance of Landweber iteration to neglect the stationary local structural characteristic of\nimage. To solve the above problem, this paper firstly uses the Granular Computing (GrC) to decompose an image into several\ngranules depending on the structural features of patches. Then, we perform the PCA to learn the sparse representation basis\ncorresponding to each granule. Finally, the hard-thresholding shrinkage is employed to remove the noises in patches. The patches\nin granule have the stationary local structural characteristic, so that our method can effectively improve the performance of hard thresholding\nshrinkage. Experimental results indicate that the reconstructed image by the proposed algorithm has better objective\nquality when compared with several traditional ones. The edge and texture details in the reconstructed image are better preserved,\nwhich guarantees the better visual quality. Besides, our method has still a low computational complexity of reconstruction....

The\ncalculation of crystal lattice properties was carried out using a software package for materials\nsimulation. The obtained experimental data were analyzed using program REM_Viewer in which\nhave been realized the algorithms of data visualization....
With the proliferation of high-performance, large-screen mobile devices, users expectations of having access to high-resolution\nvideo content in smooth network environments are steadily growing. To guarantee such stable streaming, a high cellular network\nbandwidth is required; yet network providers often charge high prices for even limited data plans. Moreover, the costs of smoothly\nstreaming high-resolution videos are not merely monetary; the devices battery life must also be accounted for. To resolve these\nproblems, we design an optimal multi-interface selection system for streaming video over HTTP/TCP. An optimization problem\nincluding battery life and LTE data constraints is derived and then solved using binary integer programming. Additionally, the\nsystem is designed with an adoption of split-layer scalable video coding, which provides direct adaptations of video quality and\nprevents out-of-order packet delivery problems. The proposed system is evaluated using a prototype application in a real, iOS based\ndevice as well as through experiments conducted in heterogeneous mobile scenarios. Results show that the system not only\nguarantees the highest-possible video quality, but also prevents reckless consumption of LTE data and battery life....
Image resampling is a common manipulation in image processing. The forensics of resampling plays an important role in image\ntampering detection, steganography, and steganalysis. In this paper, we proposed an effective and secure detector, which can\nsimultaneously detect resampling and its forged resamplingwhich is attacked by antiforensic schemes. We find that the interpolation\noperation used in the resampling and forged resampling makes these two kinds of image show different statistical behaviors\nfrom the unaltered images, especially in the high frequency domain. To reveal the traces left by the interpolation, we first apply\nmultidirectional high-pass filters on an image and the residual to create multidirectional differences. Then, the difference is fit\ninto an autoregressive (AR) model. Finally, the AR coefficients and normalized histograms of the difference are extracted as the\nfeature. We assemble the feature extracted from each difference image to construct the comprehensive feature and feed it into\nsupport vector machines (SVM) to detect resampling and forged resampling. Experiments on a large image database show that the\nproposed detector is effective and secure. Compared with the state-of-the-art works, the proposed detector achieved significant\nimprovements in the detection of downsampling or resampling under JPEG compression....
In effort to attract higher tourist expenditure along with higher tourist arrivals,\nthis paper proposes a travel application called the SmartG, acronym for Spontaneous Malaysian\nAugmented Reality Tourist Guide, which operates by making recommendations to user based\non the travel objective and individual budget constraints. The applications relies on augmented\nreality technology, whereby a three dimensional model is presented to the user based on input\nfrom real world environment. User testing returned a favorable feedback on the concept of using\naugmented reality in promoting Malaysian tourism....
